Bequia Water Sports

Watersports - why not? Diving, windsurfing and sailing are popular sports here as well as snorkelling. Available through Dive Bequia and Bequia Dive Adventures and or Friendship Bay Resort and Bequia Beach Club in Friendship.

Windsurfing is also available at De Reef Aquasports at the beach in Lower Bay. The various establishments are responsible for services offered.

 

 

Scuba Diving - Available through Dive Bequia and Bequia Dive Adventures.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines is a true diver's paradise, and diving in Bequia is rated by many as amongst the very best in the Caribbean. There are over 30 excellent and easily accessible sites in the sparklingly clear waters around the island or within easy reach, offering drift dives with intriguing caverns and holes, walls and overhangs, all teeming with wonderful coral formations and marine life. For the more experienced diver, exciting wreck and night dives are also available.

Sailing Charters - Daytrips to the surrounding islands, weekly bareboat and crewed yacht charters to explore the beautiful islands.

Windsurfing - available at De Reef Aquasports on the beach at Lower Bay.

Snorkelling - Trips are available through Dive Bequia and Bequia Dive Adventures.

Fishing - is an increasingly popular sport on Bequia, with marlin, kingfish, tuna, and barracuda amongst the most readily available - often just with a line and lure. Part of the fun of going on a day charter is the prospect of catching your own dinner! Spearfishing is NOT permitted. Beaches - are plentiful and beautiful. DO NOT PICK OR EAT SMALL GREEN APPLES, WHICH ARE CALLED MANCHINEEL. Also please do not litter, as we would like to keep our beaches clean for everyone to enjoy. Topless sunbathing is definitely a no-no on Bequia.
